The immediate-release version of Adderall lasts about four to six hours per dose, and Adderall XR, extended-release, is taken once daily. However, Adderall can remain in a person’s system after the last use.

Adderall XR (amphetamine and dextroamphetamine salts) is a central nervous system stimulant used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy.

  • Blood: for up to 46 hours
